MACD 1335 MR8 03/13 ASPHALT WORKS IN PROSERPINE. The location of works is in Proserpine and is on the Bruce Highway, starts approx. 135m South of Fuljames St and ends at the Proserpine River bridge abutment. The existing oxidised asphalt from the start of the job to the cane railway crossing will need to be milled out (approx. 11,735m2) to a depth 40mm and replaced with DG14 type asphalt. This includes all travel lanes & chevrons and excludes shoulders/parking lane until approx. 38m South of the auxiliary left turn lane into Taylor St. Between Taylor St and the cane railway crossing will require full width mill and fill. The section north of the cane railway crossing and the end of the works will be asphalt overlaid with nominal 50mm of DG14 (approx. 3751m2). Failed pavement will be milled and replaced with DG14 prior to asphalt overlay. A tack coat will be provided for all asphalt overlays and a C170 seal with 10mm aggregate is required where milling of the existing seal occurs.
