Description
Affordable Housing Strategy (AHS) Consortium of Private Landlords Phase 1 - Research, Modelling and Development Establishing a statewide Consortium of Private Landlords within Tasmania is one of a number of innovative initiatives under the AHS announced in December 2003. This initiative is intended to increase the supply of affordable private rental properties within the market and, in doing so, provide an opportunity to assist those Tasmanians with affordability issues into private rental tenures with appropriate supports and incentives to both tenants and landlords. Housing Tasmania is now seeking tenders from suitably qualified parties to undertake research into the viability of such a Consortium as a means of increasing the supply of and access to affordable housing, and to subsequently develop a range of appropriate models for the establishment and ongoing operation of a statewide Consortium of Private Landlords.
