Description
The Principal supports the South Australian Government's key economic, social and financial policy outcomes through the provision of advice and coordination of resource allocation for government programs. It also provides financial services to the government and the community, covering asset and liability management, collection of state taxes, insurance and superannuation. In the 2008-09 Mid-Year Budget Review, the South Australian Government announced a package of measures aimed at realising some of the value of the state’s assets. One of these measures is to sell a number of government owned commercial properties. The Market Projects Unit (MPU), within the Department of Treasury and Finance is responsible for coordinating the sale process.
