Expression of Interests (EOI)
Primary contractor companies and consortia are invited to submit an Expression of Interests to become a Proponent for a Design and Construct contract for the construction of the Bunbury Port Access Road Project (Stage 2)
This project includes the design and construction of a 3 km extension of the existing Bunbury Port Access Road with a two large bridge over the Ferguson River, construction of 4 km section of Bunbury Outer Ring Road with two dual lane bridges over the Preston River and the upgrading of 1.6 km of the Boyanup Picton Road
A contract in the order of $70m to $100m is expected to be awarded in early 2012 for completion in mid 2013
Briefing session: An industry briefing session will be held on Wednesday 9 March 2011 commencing at 10.00am in the Auditorium at Engineers Australia, 712 Murray Street, West Perth
The industry briefing will also include the Esperance Port Access Corridor Project, for which EOI was advertised on 23 February 2011
The National Code of Practice for the Construction Industry, in conjunction with the Australian Government Implementation Guidelines, August 2009 applies to this project.
It is a requirement of this project that any persons contracted to undertake the building work be accredited under the Australian Government Building and Construction OHS Accreditation Scheme established by the Building and Construction Industry Improvement Act 2005, at the time of the RFP closing for the building work and while the building work is being carried out
Prequalification: Applications will be assessed and usually a maximum of three proponents short listed from submission of detailed responses. The succeccful contractor must satisfy Main Roads Prequalification requirements including R4 and B3 in accordance with the National Prequalification System
