WA Public Transport Authority
Remote Monitoring of Public Transport Authority Tunnels and Underground Structures
Details
Description
The Public Transport Authority of W.A. (PTA) requires remote in-tunnel monitoring systems to be designed, supplied, installed, commissioned, operated, maintained, decommissioned, dismantled and eventually removed in active rail and bus tunnels and underground structures across the PTA Metropolitan Perth network by an experienced tunnel monitoring contractor (the Monitoring Contractor). At the completion of the contract, ownership of all monitoring equipment must vest with PTA. The monitoring is required to initially provide baseline data; then, while various third party projects or construction activities are being undertaken within the zone of influence of the tunnels, provide ongoing movement and condition monitoring of the PTA underground structure until the potential influence of the nearby works has ceased to cause, or have the potential to cause, impacts on PTA’s underground assets. The monitoring works will be required on an as-needs basis across the PTA network at various locations for various periods of nearby third party activity, as determined by PTA in liaison with the Monitoring Contractor.
