Collection and Transportation of Clinical and Cytotoxic Waste for WA Country Health Service - Wheatbelt

The WA Country Health Service (WACHS) Wheatbelt is seeking offers from suitable Respondents for a waste management system that incorporates the collection, transportation and destruction of controlled clinical waste, including cytotoxic and pharmaceutical waste, from the Western Australian Public Healthcare Units that form part of the WA Country Health Service Wheatbelt.

The successful Respondent must possess the relevant licences to remove, transport and dispose of controlled waste in accordance with the relevant Acts, Legislation and Regulations applicable in the State of Western Australia.

Collection from premises within the Wheatbelt will be at the following intervals:

Fortnightly: Northam

Monthly: Kellerberrin, Merredin, Narrogin

4 Monthly: Beverley, Boddington, Bruce Rock, Corrigin, Cunderdin, Dalwallinu, Dumbleyung, Goomalling, Jurien, Kellerberrin, Kondinin, Kununoppin, Lake Grace, Moora, Narembeen, Pingelly, Quairading, Southern Cross, Wagin, Williams, Wongan Hills, Wundowie, Wyalkatchem, York

The waste management service will incorporate the provision of suitable containers at each premises to facilitate the collection of the relevant waste streams. Clinical waste, sharps, cytotoxic and pharmaceutical containers are required. The majority of the waste stream will be clinical waste.

The WA Country Health Service encourages the use of re-usable waste containers.
