Economic and subject matter expert advice

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) and the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) are interested in establishing a panel of suitably qualified firms or individuals to provide expert consultancy services to support their respective regulatory roles. The consultancy services will cover economic advice, and technical expertise in gas and electricity networks, telecommunications, transport and postal services. The economic and subject matter expert consultancy services that are required include: asset valuation and rates of return; efficient network design and operation; competition and market analysis; economic modelling; analysis and critique of economic arguments; monitoring of prices and demands in markets; reasonable terms and conditions of access to network services; dispute resolution services; accounting services and compliance auditing services; and technical advice on infrastructure, technologies and operating practices or procedures used in subject matter industries.
