RFT 15/87 Security Guarding

The Australian Antarctic Division (AAD) is seeking to engage a Service Provider (SP) to undertake Security Guarding and Concierge duties at the AAD Kingston site.

The SP will work closely with the AAD to achieve the outcomes required for the AAD operations.

The SP will need to develop an understanding of the AAD communities and their needs to ensure that services are delivered in a timely and effective manner. For some facilities the AAD has specific Service Agreements, which outline the requirement for maintenance and associated activities in the respective areas e.g. laboratories.

The Australian Antarctic Division headquarters is located on the corner of Channel Highway and Algona Rd 2km south of Kingston and 13 km south of Hobart Tasmania. Site area is approximately 10.553 hectares. The Australian Antarctic Division in within the Kingborough Municipality and is zoned “special purpose” under the Kingborough planning scheme 1988.

The complex comprises a number of special purpose buildings up to two storeys in height. The complex contains 22,000m² of floor space in 7 Major buildings. The Antarctic Division have further constructed and installed 22 building of varying sizes.
