INGRES DATABASE ADMINISTRATION

RevenueSA is seeking proposals for the supply of an Ingres Database Administrator. RevenueSA is responsible for the administration of most major State Taxation legislation and regulatory Acts relating to Lotteries & Gaming and Charitable Collections. As well as processing large volumes of returns and determining tax liabilities, the staff of RevenueSA is also actively engaged in lodgement enforcement, compliance activities and dispute resolution all of which require access to an efficient database. RevenueSA uses an information technology (IT) infrastructure comprising HP hardware, Unix operating system, Ingres Database Management System, CA-OpenROAD and SQR (report writer) development tools for one of it’s major systems. The principal aim of this RFP is therefore to identify what Ingres Database Administration services are available to RevenueSA that provide best practice services and assess potential contactors that provide Ingres Database Administration together with costings. The Ingres Database Administrator will provide support during business hours but will be required to work out of hours when the business need arises.
