Review of Tasmanian Water Corporation's operating and maintenance expenditure and asset values

The Tasmanian Economic Regulator (Regulator) sought consultancy services to undertake a detailed review of the Tasmanian Water and Sewerage Corporation Pty Ltd’s (TasWater) operating and maintenance expenditure and asset values (including proposed capital expenditure) for water and sewerage services provided in Tasmania.

This review will inform the Regulator’s determination of prices for the upcoming regulatory period from 1 July 2015 to 30 June 2018. The purpose of this review is to assist the Regulator make a decision about TasWater’s efficient levels of operating and maintenance costs and asset values, including proposed capital expenditure in respect of the regulated services it provides. The Regulator takes into account efficient costs only when calculating revenue limits for the purpose of determining water and sewerage prices.
