Description
The works includes the removal and disposal of the existing glass and installation of new glass type.
All existing aluminum framing and associated componentry is to be removed and reinstated following completion of works. Any internal fixings, glazing blocks, sealants and glazing tapes shall be replaced as part of the works any damaged caused by the contractor to the existing material and building fabrics shall be replaced or repaired at the contractors cost. For detailed scope of works refer Volume 2 –Project Brief.
- Option 1 – Glass Replacement Only
o Deglaze existing glass onsite
o Reglaze new glass onsite
- Option 2 – Factory Reglaze with Temporary Protection
o Remove glass and cassette framing from facade
o Install temporary infill protection to façade
o Deglaze existing glass in factory
o Reglaze new glass in factory to existing cassette frame
o Reinstall glass and cassette frame to facade
- Option 3 – New Glazing & Cassette Frame
o Fabricate new glass and cassette framing in factory
o Remove existing glass and cassette framing from façade
o Install newly fabricated glass and cassette framing
