Queensland Manufacturing Capability (Assessment and Uplift)

The Queensland Government is seeking Proposals for Queensland Manufacturing Capability (Assessment and Uplift)​.

The aim of this project is to identify and quantify the commercial, technical or skills barriers (including procurement skills gaps, land availability, availability of specialist labour, labour costs etc), Queensland SME manufacturers do/would experience when entering the renewable energy production componentry manufacture market. The successful tenderer will be expected to provide data for the use of government in targeting support for the Queensland manufacturing sector.

The supplier shall include an analysis of:

• The capacity and capability of existing Queensland manufacturers with the potential to pivot current operations to supply the renewable energy sector.
• The extent to which existing Queensland manufacturers could participate in the supply chain, according to current market conditions.
• The support, knowledge or capital uplift that would be required to get existing Queensland manufacturers to a position where they can competitively manufacture renewable energy supply chain components.
• Industry support options that would attract capable supply chain renewable energy component manufacturers to Queensland.
