Particulars
The potential for using beach nourishment as a measure for mitigating coastal hazard risk has been considered either on its own or in combination with other measures as a potential management option for mitigating coastal erosion risks in development of coastal management programs (CMPs), and previously coastal zone management plans. However, this option has often been discounted as a management action, owing to it not being financially viable or feasible to be undertaken by councils.
