PROMINENT HILL EXPANSION PROJECT (PHOX) - OZ Minerals - Prominent Hill - Grizzly Panels (P007)

This Scope of Supply sets out the requirements for the design, supply, manufacture, inspection, testing, quality control, quality assurance, protection, packaging, insurances, statutory compliance, certification, delivery, and acceptance testing for sixteen (16) off complete grizzly panel assemblies comprising of two (2) grizzly panels in each assembly to be installed underground at the OZ Minerals Prominent Hill mine.


The Scope of Supply includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following:

1. Thirty-two (32) grizzly panels:
Grizzly Panels - 16 off assemblies (32 off panels)

2. Undertaking all necessary design works to ensure the adequacy of the cast panels, including but not limited to engineering and finite element analysis (FEA). The supplier submission should include any recommended changes in the geometry and heat treatment if required.

3. Completion of final arrangement drawings for cast grizzly panels and submission for review and approval prior to manufacture.

4. Quality control of Cast Grizzly panels. The surface of the castings shall be free of adhering sand, scale, cracks and hot tears as determined by visual and dye penetrant inspection.

BHP's Prominent Hill Expansion Project (PHOX Project) is an upgrade to the existing Prominent Hill copper-gold mine deposit located approximately 130 km southeast of Coober Pedy and 150 km northwest of Roxby Downs. The PHOX Project is establishing a 1,300m deep shaft for ore transport to the surface in lieu of the existing truck haulage. The project includes underground truck loading chutes, underground primary crushing station, skip loading station, production hoisting system and surface materials handling infrastructure.
