Provision of Expert Technical Advice for Communications Infrastructure

Combining major project delivery experts from the Public Transport Authority (PTA) and Main Roads Western Australia, OMTID delivers major transport projects with a cost of over $100 million.

With projects spanning from Albany to the Kimberley, OMTID expects to deliver over $11 billion worth of projects over the next three to four years. A major facet of these project deliveries encompasses works associated with the relocation of utility gas transmission and gas distribution systems that are under the ownership of various entities. To enhance OMTIDs project delivery, the services of a Consultant is required for the provision of technical advice to various OMTID project delivery teams as well as the broader Transport Portfolio members:

• The Public Transport Authority of Western Australia
• Main Roads Western Australia
• The Department of Transport

At a high level, the Consultant will be reviewing and providing technical guidance on the relocation of telecommunication designs to ensure their suitability for purpose. The Consultant must possess a significant understanding of the Western Australian and Australian telecommunication acts, business models, commercial drivers and risks inherent in the telecommunication sector. Additionally, the Consultant should possess strong audit and assurance capabilities in the telecommunication industry.

For the purposes of the Request for Quote, the Public Transport Authority (PTA) may engage the services of the Consultant on behalf of itself, the Department of Transport (DoT), and Main Roads Western Australia (MRWA), including Portfolio Units Transwa, Office of Major Transport Infrastructure Delivery (OMTID), Transport Portfolio Land and Property Services (TPLPS), and Transport Portfolio Aboriginal Engagement (TPAE).
