Design, Construction and Delivery of Police Patrol Vessel (PPV)

Between 11.5 metres and 11.99 metres in measured length Fibreglass reinforced plastic construction Monohull design Propelled by two diesel engines, and Designed and constructed to meet AMSA 2B Survey requirements The vessel will have the following operational functions: Search and rescue response Marine Safety enforcement – including intercepting, boarding and inspection of recreational and commercial vessels Protection of State marine and fisheries resources, - including patrols to enforce the provisions of the Living Marine Resource Management Act 1995 and subordinate legislation, which include patrolling Commonwealth and State Marine Reserves Medical evacuations and transportation of sick and injured persons Transportation and movement of people and equipment Assisting and/or towing damaged or disabled vessels Diving and body recovery platform Support for aerial operations, and State security marine operations platform. Tenders will be invited from boat builder contractors for the design, construction and delivery of a fit-for-purpose multi-purpose Police Patrol Vessel.
