Watermain Replacements (WMR) - Renewals Works Contract - 2022-2025

North East Water (NEW) serves an estimated population of 122,000 people in an area of approximately 20,000 square kilometres. This region extends from Corryong in the east, along the Murray River to Yarrawonga, then south to Benalla and the alpine towns of Bright, Mt. Beauty and Dartmouth.

NEW is seeking responses to this Request for Tender for its Watermain Replacement program for a 3 year term with the option of extending the contracts 2 x 1 year extensions. The program is quantified as per Part B – Project Requirements Specification.

Rather than appoint a single contractor NEW will put in place a contracted panel of Vendors (minimum of three) to compete in the delivering the goods and or services required. It is North East Water’s sole discretion to award up to six (6) Service Level Contracts. The panel of vendors will be engaged under identical contract terms and conditions with a clear understanding of NEW specifications and requirements. Each vendor will be sent a work package plan outlining the scope of the works giving the contractor the opportunity to refine their quotation. To ensure the delivered program is meeting NEW requirements the panel of vendors may be reviewed to further meet NEW business needs.
Under the terms and conditions of the contract there will be no guarantee of placement of purchase orders for water main replacements.

As a result North East Water is seeking suitably qualified contractors to construct the proposed replacement water mains throughout North East Victoria.
