Provision of Specialist Employment Services to the Transition for Employment (T4E) Program

The Australian Defence Force (ADF) Transitions Section within DCO assists a member transitioning to civilian life by providing personalised and tailored assistance to members, and to their family, as they prepare to transition out of the military which include providing transition administration support, career coaching, transition seminars and referrals to support services. DCO has 13 ADF Transition Centres nationally and provides an outreach service to more remote areas.

The T4E program is an additional service for those members separating from the ADF on medical grounds and whose medical cases are deemed as complex in nature.

T4E seeks to facilitate early employment and transition for ADF’s profoundly wounded, injured and ill personnel by working directly with employers to secure employment that support the individual’s rehabilitation and longer term wellbeing.

Participants may be suffering from either physical, psychological or sensory health issues or a combination of all three. It is essential that the medical cases most complex and severe in nature have the attention and support required to find meaningful employment in the civilian community by building the member’s resilience, rehabilitation and an enduring capability to develop their career once transition support is no longer available.

For this reason, DCO is seeking a supplier who has the ability to deliver specialist employment services nationally to members meeting the criteria and who have been approved for participation in the T4E program.
