Description
Lower Murray Urban and Rural Water Corporation (LMW) provides River quality water services to customers in the four pumped irrigation districts of Merbein, Red Cliffs, Robinvale and Mildura, the Mullewa rural district and some areas of the waterworks district of Yelta.
The reticulation system that delivers the pumped water from the river to the customers is aging and, in some cases, deteriorating beyond an acceptable level to maintain a reliable level of service.
In addition to the reliability of the reticulation pipework, the overall systems need to have adequate redundancy to ensure customers have access to irrigation water when required.
The Irrigation Pipelines Contract involves the replacement of the main at six locations within Merbein and Mildura districts.
