The District Council of Mount Barker wishes to engage suitably qualified persons to assist in the planning for infrastructure (both physical and social) requirements that will parallel both residential and industrial development to occur within the , Littlehampton and over the next 10 years.
Two separate but closely related studies are to be undertaken. These are:
1.Whole of Community Infrastructure Contribution Plan
This plan is to be formulated to guide the financial contributions of the private and public sectors to the provision of key physical and social infrastructure within the growth townships of , Littlehampton and Nairne over the next 10 years. Key outcomes to be achieved include quantifying the infrastructure needs of a growing community and the formulation of infrastructure contribution model that will provide the financial means to ensure the timely and sustainable provision of infrastructure.
2.Linking Industry to the South Eastern Freeway
Council needs to investigate the development of an upgraded road link that will provide better access to the proposed and existing industrial areas in and Nairne from a new interchange at the freeway at .
The outcomes from this investigation will need to be integrated into the Contribution Plan.
