Optic Fibre for the Davis Infrasound Station
This Request for Tender (RFT) relates to the supply of the passive optic fibre components for the IS03 communications system, and associated services, as follows:
Item 1: Supply of 6-channel [three Tx/Rx pairs], 1GB, single-mode, 9/125, OS2 (ITU-T G.652.D), pre-terminated, tested, optic fibre cables (see Table 1a for optic fibre cable specifications, Tables 1b and 1c for cable length and pre-termination details. Item 1 also includes supply of accessories for protection and deployment of the supplied cables.
Item 2: Supply of 2-channel [one Tx/Rx pair], single-mode, 9/125, OS2 (ITU-T G.652.D), pre-terminated, tested, optic fibre patch cords (see Tables 2a and 2b for details).
Item 3: Supply of full documentation of supplied materials, including manufacturer’s test results, product data sheets, manuals and guides for handling, transport, storage and installation of the supplied cables and accessories.
Item 4: Supply of 20 year warranty against degradation of the cable jacket, and 20 year warranty against degradation of fibre performance due to operation at extremely low temperatures.
Item 5: Provision of customer support services to Geoscience Australia in Canberra in respect of Items 1 through 4.
