Occupational Health & Safety Induction Video for the Meat Industry and Poultry

The WorkCover Corporation Grants Committee has approved a grant for a project from the SAfer Industries Meat Industry OHS Committee to develop an easy to understand, industry-specific video highlighting the hazards faced by both new and current workers in the poultry industry, with specific emphasis on cultural and linguistic diversity relevant to the industry. WorkCover Corporation seeks a suitable person(s) to undertake the project, commencing as soon as possible. Please note, a working party made up of poultry industry representatives has been formed to specifically oversee this project and can be viewed as a sub-committee of the SAfer Industries Meat Industry OHS Committee. The project includes: · Consultation throughout the project with the industry through the Poultry Working Party. · Research and development of the script for the video package ensuring that the script is in plain language and suitable for translation into community languages. Writing of complementary material. · Translation of the video into identified community languages (Khmer, Vietnamese, Chinese and Arabic). · Trial of the script, including translations, with a sample of workers from the industry. · Pre-production and production work for the video and complementary materials. · Trial of the video within business within metropolitan locations. · Development of an evaluation tool to be used during trial sessions. The successful tenderer can expect to commence the project immediately upon contract agreement.
