Capricornia SDE - Emerald Campus - Library Refurbishment (With Design Responsibility)

The Department of Education (DoE) is calling for tender submissions for the design and construction of a library refurbishment at the Emerald Campus of the Capricornia School of Distance Education, located at Corner Gray and Gladstone Streets, Emerald, QLD, 4720, as part of the School Direct (DIRECT) program.

The works comprise of a complete refurbishment of the existing building, including all new walls, floors, joinery, electrical and mechanical services to create a new library, dedicated teaching spaces and mail room. The position of the building is at the front of the school with easy site access and ample working space. All works are to be completed by February 2024

Tender submissions will be accepted from contractors that meet the following requirements:

• Appropriate QBCC Builders licences to undertake the entire scope of works
• Professional Indemnity Insurance to the value of $ 1.0M

QBCC Licensing and Professional Indemnity Insurance

It is anticipated that a minimum of a QBCC (Low Rise) builders’ licence will be required for this project. Contractors are required to hold Professional Indemnity Insurance in accordance with the contract.
