Description

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) wishes to engage a capable supplier to provide electronic fire danger warning information signs at 130 locations across Queensland, plus ongoing maintenance for these signs for up to five (5) years. The installation and testing is required to reach completion by 30 November 2022.

Clarification 1

Is the DTMR technical specification, MRTS263, applicable to the standalone PV solar power system incorporated within the FDR design?

Our response:

Must meet relevant DTMR specifications.

Clarification 2

Are DTMR approved poles required for the structure element?

Our response:

Must meet relevant DTMR specifications.

Clarification 3

How many days of battery back-up (autonomy) are required for the signs?

Our response:

Capability of 24/7 operation from a solar battery array.

Clarification 4

Attached Style Guide, p.9, states programmable LED component is optional. Please advise if this is a requirement for the tender, or it should be priced separately.

It is an optional component for the national style guide.

Clarification 5

For the proposed digital electronic FDR sign, advise if QFES requires a single, or double, line LED text box.

Our response:

Double line LED.

Clarification 6

For the proposed signs, Region D design wind load should not be required, since none of the sites are within a Region D area as defined in AS/NZS1170, which classifies North Stradbroke as Region B and Magnetic Island as Region C. Islands located within 50km of the coast are considered within the same Region. Please confirm.

Up to Wind Region C will be suitable.

Clarification 7

What maintenance is preferred, noting quarterly payments are preferred. Please clarify if you want physical maintenance every 3 months? Will the camera vendor have remote access to the system via customer office or as a separate remote login?

Our response:

Annual maintenance is required. Systems capabilities are up to tenderers to define.

Who is responsible for communications costs during the contract period?

Our response:

QFES will cover ongoing costs of data.

Tender to include details or warranty being offered, not less than 12 months.

Our response:

Three days is probably the upper limit.
