Agistment of 500 adult equivalent (AE) cattle

The Department of Agriculture and Fisheris (DAF) invites Expression of Interest (EOI) for the purchase of Agistment for 500 adult equivalent (AE) cattle to supplement the grazing capacity of Brian Pastures Research Facility. Additional capacity is required to deliver the project milestones of the MLA funded Repronomics© Project. Consequently the “purchase” must be compatible with and compliment activities and operations undertaken on and from Brian Pastures Research Facility.

Suppliers are required to respond to this EOI focusing on the timeframes, property details, capacity, location and infrastructure as identified in Section 2 of this EOI.

Note: This agistment is to support the MLA funded Repronomics II cattle genetics research project by providing grazing capacity in excess of that available at Brian Pastures Research Facility.

The objective and anticipated deliverables for the EOI are to:

• to gauge local market interest in supply agistment to DAF for 500ae of cattle
• to obtain agistment for 500ae cattle on a high quality grazing country, with proximity to Brian Pastures Research Facility, which has good quality secure fencing and yards

All responses to the EOI will be assessed to determine potential suitability and all responses that demonstrate potential to meet DAF requirements will be provided with a Request for Quote.
