The Department of Education (DoE) is calling for tender submissions for the design and construction of a Tuckshop at Burnside SHS, located at 52 Blaxland Road, Nambour QLD 4560, as part of the Playground and Tuckshop Grant (PTG) program.
The proposed scope of works includes a full tuckshop refurbishment, with the replacement of all floors, walls and ceiling, including but not limited to new benchtops and joinery to the food preparation areas, storage, servery and point of sale including an extension to the existing tuckshop floor area. The school tuckshop is located in the centre of the school campus with adequate working space, and sufficient access to areas of work. All works are to be completed by December 2025.
Tender submissions will be accepted from contractors that meet the following requirements:
• Appropriate QBCC Builders licences to undertake the entire scope of works
• Professional Indemnity Insurance to the value of $1,000,000.00
QBCC Licensing and Professional Indemnity Insurance
It is anticipated that a minimum of a QBCC (Low Rise) builders’ licence will be required for this project. Contractors are required to hold Professional Indemnity Insurance in accordance with the contract.
