Personal protective equipment and COVID-19 rapid antigen test panel

The Personal protective equipment (PPE) and COVID-19 rapid antigen test (RAT) procurement panel (panel) was developed in response to lessons learnt in procuring PPE and COVID-19 RATs during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The panel enables the department to procure PPE and COVID-19 RATs in times of emergency and supply shortages, while ensuring the process meets the requirements of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules.

The panel provides a pre-approved list of 45 suppliers offering supply across 12 categories of PPE and COVID-19 rapid antigen tests RATs. Suppliers appointed to Tier 1 have demonstrated capacity and capability to provide goods within eight weeks. Suppliers appointed to Tier 2 have demonstrated capacity and capability to provide goods within 13 weeks. The categories of PPE and RATs available on the panel include:

1. Public P2 respirators
2. Surgical P2 respirators (levels 1-3)
3. Public N95 respirators
4. Surgical N95 respirators (levels 1-3)
5. Isolation gowns (levels 1-4)
6. Medical goggles
7. Clinical waste bags
8. Surgical masks (levels 1-3)
9. Surgical gloves (all sizes)
10. Medical examination gloves (all sizes)
11. Medical face shields
12. COVID-19 rapid antigen tests (RATs)
