Details
Description
The RAN is required to comply with international environmental regulations for biofouling and avoidance of transfer of Potential Marine Pests (PMP) into Australian waters. Current manual labour-based methods of hull and propeller cleaning employed by the RAN are costly, time-intensive and pose risks to both operational readiness and environmental compliance. The RAN are seeking an alternative solution to current practices and consider autonomous technologies could deliver improved biofouling management practice, reducing risks to personnel while improving environmental compliance and operational readiness
