Provision of Career Practitioner Qualifications

The Department of Education seeks to engage a university, higher education provider, or RTO endorsed by the CICA for the provision of a Level 8 AQF Graduate Certificate in Career Development (the Graduate Certificate) for school-based career practitioners.

The Graduate Certificate must:

• Provide a qualification to give secondary teachers the recognised skills to lead high-level, professional career development and career-related learning in schools;

• Be endorsed by the CICA; and

• Provide a qualification consisting of a minimum of four (4) units of study, which can be completed in a 12-month period.

In addition, the Department of Education's preference is to:

• Engage with a Contractor listed on the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) national register as an Australian University; and
• Award the contract to a single supplier. However, reserves the right to award contracts to more than one supplier, if it represents value for money or if it ensures meeting its timelines.
