Research Management - Projects and Publications Solutions

QUT has a requirement for a Research Management Solution, including Research Grants, Projects, Publications and Performance Management, enabling the efficient management of our core research business functions.

The RMS program aims to implement a Research Management Solution that will ensure that QUT can effectively and efficiently undertake its research management and support functions. The full Research Management Solution must have high functionality and integration with other corporate systems to empower and enhance productivity across our research academic and research support administration stakeholders, as an agile, web based, highly integrated solution.

While increasing usability and productivity is fundamental to our future direction, at its core the RMS will need to efficiently meet government, regulatory and institutional reporting requirements. The needs of the research community must be balanced with the needs of research support, embracing the principles of self service and process automation where possible to streamline.

The Project/Grant Management and Publications Management systems are two components of the university’s Research Management Solution. The vision of this program is to drive smarter ways of working and empower university staff through the implementation of a seamless, user-centred digital experience and have real-time business intelligence and management information at their fingertips. Respondents are invited to provide a response against either the Project/Grant management system, the Research Publications/Performance Management system, or both in this response. Respondents are also invited to include any additional innovative functionality to support the broader vision of the Research Management Solution Program
