Stony Head Training Area - General Works

Road Remediation Works, Bush Fire Management Works, Firing Range Remediation works and Plumbing Works.

Works at Stony Head Training Area include (but are not limited to):

• Regrade the existing gravel road, reshape and regrade the existing open drainage channels, clean out existing culvert crossings; and weed, grass and vegetation control (9Km approximate);

• Excavation and the mechanical separation of stop butt at the Stony Head Firing Range, disposal of Class 3 contaminated soil and replacement with a clean fill and reinstate turf surface; and

• Fire Management Plan implementation works which involves slashing/ploughing of weed/vegetation each side of fire trails for a distance of approximately 60km. Maintenance of fuel break areas for an approximate distance of 26km.
