Description

Geoscience Australia requires an economical and effective drilling technique (e.g. air core and/or mud rotary) to enable geologists to characterise the palaeovalley depth, geometry, sedimentary infill and groundwater characteristics along each of the Four (4) traverses, the length of which vary from 10 km to 15 km.

a) Each traverse will comprise approximately 5 drill-holes, the depth of which will vary from a maximum of approximately 130 m (but potentially 150 m) at the deepest point in each traverse, to approximately 75-50 m elsewhere along each traverse, dependent upon the depth of fresh or weathered bedrock at each site.

b) Five (5) to Six (6) drill-holes are anticipated per traverse along Four (4) traverses that will be between 10 and 15 km in length with drill-holes situated approximately equidistant along each traverse.

c) Whilst not mandatory, the capacity for recovery of core samples at pre-determined intervals may be advantageous.
