WGEA Communities of Practice Portal

The Communities of Practice Project seeks to create the Agency’s first member-based community platform available online, and in time as an app, that will bring together employers, experts, peak groups and policy makers to collaborate, share experiences and resources, and learn from one another to promote gender equality in Australian workplaces.

This platform will host Community of Practice groups that support the needs of various stakeholders and industry sectors, and will:

- allow the Agency to stimulate conversations and share leading practice to fuel change by developing deeper rapport with business communities, industries, and sectors

- diversify the Agency’s communication channels and tools to expand and strengthen our reach; keeping the conversation going in an exclusive online space with few distractions

- make use of innovative technologies to enhance the Agency’s digital infrastructure and online presence; providing a new tool that integrates with and extends our digital capabilities

- enable the Agency to utilise established and emerging expertise, and facilitate the dissemination of the latest research and data to keep stakeholders informed, engaged, and motivated; bridging the gap between evidence and action
