Description
The City of Charles Sturt currently provides a range of essential services including, but not limited to, minor home maintenance, gardening, rubbish removal, gutter cleaning, shopping, respite and socialisation services, centre based day care and in-home cleaning services (“Services”) for frail aged and people with a disability and their Carers within the council area. The Services are provided to eligible residents to assist them to live independently in their community. Council is responsible for accepting the referrals from the My Aged Care Portal and for the SA HACC program the eligibility of residents requesting the relevant Service(s).
The Services comes under the Ageing Well Business Unit of Council and are funded by Council, the State SA HACC and Federal Governments Commonwealth Home Support Program. Services provided are required to comply with the Community Care Common Standards and Commonwealth Home Support Program Guidelines.
