Provision of Technical Support (service, maintenance, repair, customisation and fabrication) for Equipment used by People with Disabilities

The Commission is seeking to establish a panel arrangement of contractors for the provision of a technical support service in the Perth metropolitan area and country regions of Western Australia for the equipment used by people with disabilities.. These will be known as Package A and Package B which are briefly outlined below.

Package A covers Perth metropolitan area:
The successful respondent/s will work with the Commission’s therapists from the Statewide Specialist Services Directorate’s Equipment teams to provide:
Service, maintenance and repair of Standard and Prescribed Wheeled Mobility Devices, Commercially Available Seating, Positioning Equipment, Hygiene Equipment, Postural Support Components and other miscellaneous items that are prescribed to meet the needs of people with disabilities.

Package B covers the Country regions of Western Australia
The successful respondent/s will work with the Commission’s Country Resource and Consultancy team to provide:
• Maintenance, repair, modification, refurbishment and fabrication of equipment that is used by people with disabilities in the country regions of Western Australia (WA);
• .Assembly and customisation of commercially available postural support components to make a complete product;
• Input regarding the technical issues related to the prescription of equipment;
• Wheelchair maintenance training for therapists and families in the country regions of WA;
• Technical support regarding equipment related issues via tele and videoconferencing facilities to therapists in country WA.
