Design Services for Norfolk Island Health and Residential Aged Care Services facilities replacement.

Requests for Expression of Interest are invited from suitably qualified entities to undertake the role of Design Services Contractor (DSC) to provide services on the basis described in the attached Expression of Interest.

The DSC will be required to support the planning and delivery phases of the project TERR18/0290 (Project). The Project includes the design and construction of a new Multipurpose Health Services Facility (Facility) for the Norfolk Island Health and Residential Aged Care Services (NIHRACS), as well as the construction of supporting infrastructure for that new Facility. The new Facility will replace the existing NIHRACS healthcare facility and enable health services on Norfolk Island to meet the needs of the community now and into the future, with planning and investment in infrastructure, facilities, service design and workforce as required.

The services required of the DSC will involve the development and delivery of design documentation from a 5% Master Plan Feasibility Review through to completion of a 100% Design Report, costing of design milestones to applicable cost confidence levels, as well as engaging in stakeholder consultation and obtaining all relevant Departmental, Government and Parliamentary approvals.

The DSC will also be required to provide general design and design management services throughout the planning phase of the Project from the commencement of construction until the expiry of the last of the Defects Liability Period(s) under the construction contract.
