In 2006, the Rottnest Island Authority installed a Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) Network as part of a Community Safety and Crime Prevention Strategy. The purpose of the CCTV Network is to monitor public open space, enhance community safety, reduce crime and anti-social behaviour, and to monitor assets of the Rottnest Island Authority.
