Description

The Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA), Parks and Wildlife Service – Shark Bay requires the manufacturing, commissioning, and supply of one (1) eight (8) metre patrol vessel.

The vessel is to be of a rigid aluminium hull design with closed cell foam collars, The vessel is to be constructed in accordance with the requirements of the National Standards for Commercial Vessels (NSCV), Western Australian (WA) Marine Act (1982), and the Uniform Shipping Law Code (USL Code), as required.

The vessel is intended for general marine park patrols, research and monitoring activities that include diving and baited remote underwater video system (BRUVs) operations, wildlife emergency response, and marine park maintenance programs. It is imperative that the vessel be suited for the Midwest region of Western Australia which experiences large swells and strong winds.

The vessel is to be delivered to DBCA Shark Bay District located in Denham, Western Australia.
