Australian Government Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry
Detector Dog Transport Services Melbourne
Details
Description
The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry utilises detector dogs at the Melbourne International Airport and Melbourne Gateway Facility (Mail Centre) in Tullamarine. The dogs may also be deployed at other locations (not defined) as deemed necessary by the customer. These operations vary across rostered shifts 24 hours a day, 7 days per week.
The services provided by the contractor are an important part of the department’s detector dog program, acknowledging the service needs to be delivered in a manner that is responsive and flexible in meeting the functional and operational needs of the department.
The department is seeking a contractor to provide transport services for its detector dogs based in Melbourne. A concurrent Approach to Market for kennelling services is being progressed by the department. Tenderers may wish to tender for either transportation or kennelling or both. NB if tenderers wish to tender for both, there must be a separate submission against each respective Approach to Market that independently addresses the tender requirements for that Approach to Market.
