Provision of Services of a Superintendent METRONET Railcar Procurement Project

This Procurement is required for the services of an experienced Superintendent for the construction contracts of the facilities in the METRONET Railcar Procurement Project.

The scope will be to provide, as directed by the Principal, the role of a Superintendent, on various medium to high risk projects for METRONET Railcar Procurement Project, within the Transperth Train Operation (TTO) division. The Superintendent must have experience in the design and delivery of multi-disciplinary railway infrastructure and construction projects. The appointed Superintendent will report to the Delivery Manager and shall:

1. Perform any of the functions of the Superintendent as per Superintendent’s appointment in accordance with the Contract;
2. Inspect the works and any documentation related to the Contractor’s obligations under the Contract;
3. Issue Superintendent Directions (at the request of the Delivery Manager);
4. Assess Progress claims (on the basis of advice received from PTA Construction Interface Manager (CIM), Project Engineer (PE) and Coordinating Project Engineer (CPE);
5. Assess Variation Claims (on the basis of advice received from PTA Construction Interface Manager, External Quantity Surveyor, Contract Surveillance Officer (CSO), PE and CPE;
6. Attendance at meetings, including potentially being the meeting Chair; and
7. Any other related activities as directed by the Principal.
