Description

The Public Transport Authority (PTA) requires the overhaul of air conditioning units on its diesel railcar fleet. In total there are:

  • 19 Noske Kaiser air conditioner units fitted to the Prospector railcar fleet.
  • 5 Sigma air conditioner units fitted to the Australind railcar fleet.

Tenderers may elect to tender to overhaul only the Prospector air conditioners, to overhaul only the Australind air conditioners, or to overhaul both models. Additionally, the successful tenderer will be required to provide service support for the models of air conditioner that they overhaul.

The term of this contract will be 4 years. During the first two years of this contract it is expected that all the Prospector air conditioners will be overhauled at a rate of one per month. It is expected that each Australind air conditioner will take one month to overhaul. The overhaul of all units shall be completed within the first two years of the contract.

The third and fourth years of the contract will be to provide ongoing maintenance support for the Prospector and Australind air conditioners, as well as support for any air conditioners requiring warranty repairs after the overhaul.
