South Australian Government Salary Sacrifice Arrangements

The South Australian Government is seeking Proposals from suitably qualified Respondents for the provision of South Australian Government Salary Sacrifice Arrangements to replace the current Panel. The current Panel expires on 31 May 2008.

The South Australian Government (SAG) is seeking proposals from suitably qualified Respondents to undertake the role of Service Provider (s) which will involve:

• Establishment and administration of the Salary Sacrifice arrangements for eligible employees in the South Australian public sector;
• Provision of SAG approved information to employees;
• Establishment of individual employee Salary Sacrifice arrangements, including design of Salary Sacrifice arrangements with employees;
• Establishment, collection and administration of necessary payroll deductions;
• Receipt and holding of Salary Sacrifice funds as agent, and on trust;
• Making distributions and/or transfers of sacrificed amounts towards Salary Sacrifice benefits;
• Providing reports to employees and employers and ensuring that effective communication mechanisms are in place and maintained by the Service Provider;
• Retaining all information required for taxation compliance and audit purposes;
• Maintaining controls and a control environment to levels required for the delivery of Salary Sacrifice arrangements;
• Maintaining defined standards of rigour, efficiency, effectiveness and legal compliance in the delivery of all aspects of Salary Sacrifice arrangements;
• Providing customer service to eligible employees in the South Australian public sector with regard to Salary Sacrifice arrangements; and
• Maintaining currency of services over the term of the Salary Sacrifice arrangements.
