Principal Contractor - Cairns Tropical Enterprise Centre (CTEC)

You are invited to submit an expression of interest to provide Principal Contractor (PC) services for the delivery of the approximate 3500m², Cairns Tropical Enterprise Centre (CTEC) building and associated services infrastructure, civil and landscaping works. CTEC is a $60 million project (including land acquisition) funded by the Commonwealth, Department of Health under the Community Health and Hospitals Program.

CTEC planning and design is based on a 4 story, approximate 3500m² class 5 and 9b building, connected to third party services infrastructure (Council, Ergon etc). CTEC will be a specialised facility for teaching, research education and research activity in: Medicine, Allied Health, Generalist Medical Training (GMT), Stem related courses, Health Training and Research.

The proposed delivery model for CTEC is 2 stage Managing Contractor arrangement.

This Expression of Interest (EOI) is the first stage of a three-stage procurement process comprising of Request for EOI, Request for Tender (RFT) and Stage 3 being engagement of a preferred Contractor by JCU for Stage 1 of the Managing Contract, facilitating early contractor involvement (ECI) though Design Development. The project is currently in concept/schematic design.
