Description
The Department of National Parks, Sport, Recreation and Racing has a requirement to reconstruct the floodway on Upper Stony Creek at Byfield State Forest. The causeway has been damaged by major flood events and the site is under a redevelopment program to improve the facilities.
The scope of works of this project is to undertake the reconstruction of the causeway and associated works as per details provided in the attached specification of works. The works contain but are not limited to the following:-
• Earthworks and removal of existing causeway and provision of fill materials for the formation of the new crossing
• Provision of Steel-wire mattress protection
• Construction of Stormwater Drainage
• Concrete works for the construction of the new floodway
• Construction of the Fish-way passage
• Pavement reconstruction/ reinstatement at the approach and departure side of the new crossing including pavement rehabilitation and bituminous surfacing
• Traffic management throughout the duration of Possession of Site
• Control of erosion and sedimentation
• Safety management of the works
