Description
It is proposed that a new 8.5 metre Rigid Hulled Inflatable Vessel be constructed and predominantly located at Mount Gambier, but will also be able to be utilised in other locations in South Australia for periods throughout the year. The vessels are intended for service on the South Australian coast and adjacent offshore islands.
The vessel will have a survey of 30 nautical miles offshore, with a capacity for two (2) crew and four (4) special personnel. The vessels will be multi tasked and possess an operational capability to service the Limestone Coast region.
This specification details the performance and general characteristics required for an 8.5 metre mono-hulled, marine grade aluminium patrol vessel with trailer, powered by twin four stroke outboard engines, for PIRSA Fisheries.
The vessel shall have an operational range of no less than 200 nautical miles.
