Description

IHPA is seeking to determine whether radiotherapy services should attract a specific cost adjustment to the National Efficient Price model according to the setting in which it is delivered. An analysis is proposed to understand the costs associated with the different types of radiotherapy services.

Radiotherapy services are delivered in both the admitted and non-admitted settings.

The aim of this project is to establish a cost dataset (across settings) from existing resources for hospitals that provide radiotherapy services. Additionally, the contractor will be required to determine whether particular hospitals have noticeably different costs for these services that are driven by different models of care, care pathways or other cost driver factors.

This project will include substantial consultation and information gathering from jurisdictions, who will arrange adequate provision of data from particular hospitals.
