Description

The Overseas Property Office (OPO), as part of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), is seeking Expressions of Interest for the selection of a Design Consultant for the Australian High Commission new Chancery in Nairobi, Kenya. The terms and conditions of the invitation, together with a description of the services sought, are set out in the request for Expressions of Interest available on the department’s web site at www.dfat.gov.au/tenders/.

Expressions of interest are invited from suitably qualified firms wishing to participate in this project. Firms having recent design and documentation experience and representation within Kenya or the African region, and those which have previous experience in designing and documenting similar projects are particularly encouraged to express interest.

The Design Consultant will be expected to assemble and manage a team that will review all design documentation developed prior to its appointment and then prepare documentation to assist OPO in tendering for a works contractor to undertake the works to the required quality, and in accordance with the Project Control Program and Cost Plan.

The project is anticipated to be delivered using a traditional lump sum contract.
