WA Department of Health
Design, Distribution, Collection and Evaluation of Employee Intentions Survey for the Area Health Service.
Details
Description
The Western Australian Health Department has embarked on a major reform agenda, based on the Clinical Services Framework (CSF) 2010 – 2020. The CSF provides a blue print for future provision of health care within WA. The CSF is reviewed periodically to ensure that it remains responsive to the community needs,
The implementation of the CSF will have a significant impact on the workforce requirements of Health. South Metropolitan Area Health Service (SMAHS), North Metropolitan Area Health Service (NMAHS) and Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) are planning to carryout an Employee Intentions Survey to:
• gain an understanding of the preferences and future intentions of its current workforce; and
• to assist them with their workforce planning activities as part of the CSF implementation plan.
The Intentions survey will be issued to all staff to identify employee plans for the next 5 years.
Employees will be asked to:
• indicate whether they intend to seek alternative employment;
• transfer to another hospital within Metropolitan Health Service;
• increase or decrease their working hours; or
• leave their employment within WA Health system.
