Details
Description
Introduction
Headquarters Training Command-Army (HQ TC-A) invites responses to a Request for Tender (RFT) for the provision of Overhead Linesman Distribution Course for School of Military Engineering (SME), Combat Arms Training Centre (CATC).
Description of the Requirement
The Combat Arms Training Centre require a Registered Training Organsiation to provide qualified Army personnel with the knowledge and skills to work on overhead electrical distribution systems under the scope of works required for Army Engineers.
The contractor is required to deliver the Overhead Linesman Course at the Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) level 3 to selected Army personnel, so they can effectively and efficiently perform their duties as electricians within Defence.
The preferred tenderer will be a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) in accordance with the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF). The ideal site is the Sydney region (with preference for the Liverpool area) NSW, due to access of SME staff for the purposes of quality control. However, a lack of resources at SME dictates that the training will be conducted at the Tenderer's nominated training facilities.
Period of Contract
Headquarters Training Command-Army, is seeking to arrange a contract for a period of four (4) years, commencing 15 November 2008, with a two (2) year extension option, with a commercial operator capable of providing the requisite services.
