Transport of students with disability Panel

The Department for Education provides transport assistance to students with disability from their home to the nearest appropriate school that can meet their needs, in accordance with departmental criteria.

The transport services are provided by a range of vehicles, including metropolitan and country taxis; access taxis ; chauffeured vehicles; minibuses; and buses (non-wheelchair and wheelchair accessible). Rideshare vehicles are not utilised for these services.

The procurement objectives are to establish a panel of providers to engage suppliers for transport services that allows for flexibility due to the highly dynamic nature of the service and the number of services required.

The services required are both in the metropolitan and regional areas.
